"A teacher affects eternity; he can never
tell where his influence stops."
~Henry Brooks Adams
Hi! My name is Julie Liewehr. I grew up in Palatine, Illinois. I have always dreamed of becoming a teacher and love working with children. After graduating from William Fremd High School in 2004, I enrolled at Illinois State University and joined the Honors Program. Throughout my college career, I kept myself busy through various extracurricular activities. I graduated cum laude from Illinois State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education on May 10, 2008. I received middle school endorsements in mathematics and language arts.
I have spent the past 3 summers working as a camp counselor for the Rolling Meadows Park District where I enjoy teambuilding activities, swimming, and playing games. Each summer, I look forward to the field trips at the Lincoln Park Zoo and various water parks! In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, and having fun outdoors!
I have always known I wanted to be a teacher and am passionate about learning. I looked forward to coming to school each day because I knew the students would make me smile :) I have a very energetic personality and love to laugh! I cannot wait to have a classroom of my very own next year and hope to share everything I have learned with the students!
