“Tell me and I’ll forget;

show me and I may remember;involve me and I’ll understand.”

~Chinese Proverb

Looking back over the course of the year, I could not have asked for a better group of students, mentor teacher, or school for my student teaching placement.  Entering the PDS program, I was anxious to get to know the students and begin the school year.  I could not wait to develop my teaching style and learn from the students.  One of the biggest compliments I received from my liaison was when she told me that when she used to observe me I was, “Acting like a teacher,” and now “I was a teacher.”  Hearing her say this made me realize how much I have grown since the beginning of the year.  Teaching has become natural and I enjoy working with the students each day.  I developed positive and professional relationships with the students and staff, learned how to effectively manage a class of students, and realized the importance of continuous communication.  I had a wonderful student teaching experience and hope to have many more successful school years to come!
