Jenny Naujalis' Professional Portfolio
About Me

My name is Jenny Naujalis. I grew up an only child in the Chicago suburbs. Attending private schools in Glendale Heights, Illinois, I developed a great love for learning. I continued to seek ways to learn both in and out of the school day.

I participated in many extracurricular activities in both grade school and high school. Some of these included Girl Scouts, band, choir, Scholastic Bowl, and cross country. These experiences led me to my desire to become an educator.

As a part of my Girl Scout experience, I have worked with children since I was in eighth grade at a day camp. This program has provided me a supportive environment to mature and develop my skills of working with children.

In addition to my Girl Scout experience, watching my band director in high school inspired me to become an educator. I saw how she impacted the lives of her students and wanted to do the same. Expressing this desire with her, she guided me in discovering the profession I wanted to choose.

After four years of study towards this career that I have wanted for so long, it seems to be a wonderful match. As I completed my student teaching, I have begun to experience the same joy for working with youth in the school environment as I have for so many years at Girl Scout Camp.
