My name is Kimberly Broton and I am from Skokie, Illinois. I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and my dog. I graduated from Niles North High school in 2004 where I was involved in many activities including soccer and basketball. In high school, I had the opportunity to teach pre-school students which only encouraged my aspiration to be a teacher.
I decided to attend Illinois State University, and that lead me to participate in the Pekin Professional Development School my senior year. This program has allowed me to be completely immersed in a school for an entire school year. I had the opportunity to observe and teach in a 6th grade classroom and student teach in a 2nd grade classroom. I will be graduating from Illinois State University on May 10, 2008 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. After graduation I will be returning home to begin my first year of teaching.
