Play
Allowing the students to learn while playing is very important to me. Incorporating hands on activities and real life applications can help my students to have fun while they are learning.
"A wise teacher makes learning a joy."
~American Proverb
Make their Day
It is important for me to make every one of my students days as good as possible. Sometimes, I may be the only smiling face my students see, or they may just be having a bad day. I need to keep this in mind throuhgout the day. Doing this consistantly will make my student think, "Hey, this is a good place to be, I want to be here," and that will make all the difference.
"Once you get people laughing, they're listening and you can tell them almost anything."
~Herbert Gardner
Choose your Attitude
Attitude is everything in my classroom. The effort that my students put into their work can make a huge difference on their grade and their attitude towards other activities. My attitude also reflects on them, I have a good positive outlook on what we are doing; attitude is contagious!
"A healthy attitude is contagious but don't wait to catch it from others. Be a carrier."
~Tom Stoppard
Be There
Every one of my students is special; this needs to be apparant to them each and every day. This includes spending time with every student each day and giving them the attention they need. If I can reach my students then they will feel special, only then can I accomplish what needs to be done.
"He who can reach a child's heart can reach the world's heart."
~Rudyard Kipling
