During my year-long student teaching experience, I have discovered many different ideas that I feel contribute greatly to my educational philosophy. 

I believe my role as a teacher is to:

- View my class as a group of individuals and use their strengths to help them grow in areas of need

- Teach life skills in addition to the curriculum

- Create life-long learners out of my students

- Challenge each student to their fullest potential

- Create a safe classroom environment that is built around respect, but also encourages risk-taking

- Excite my students and motivate them intrinsically
