Sarah Ritscher's Professional Portfolio
About Me

My name is Sarah Ritscher and I just finished a year long student teaching program called the Pekin Professional Development School.  My husband and I just got married on June 30, 2007 and moved to Pekin so that I could finish school.

After high school, I attended Illinois Central College for two years and compled an Associates degree in Arts and Sciences.  I then transferred to Illinois State University where I completed the class for my elementary education degree and graduated in May of 2008 with a BSE.

My student teaching experience was one that I will never forget.  My phase one was done in Mrs. Oesch's second grade class at L.E. Starke School for 8 weeks.

My phase two was done in Mrs. Peters' sixth grade class at Washington Intermediate for 8 weeks.

After winter break, I returned to Mrs. Oesch's class for my student teaching phase of 16 weeks.  I have learned so much from that year and have grown as an intern and a future teacher.
