The needs of the students come first! I feel that with the students' needs being so diversified that the teacher must accomodate for those students whose learning styles are different from others and those who may have difficulties. Teachers need to differentiate their instruction to reach all of their students and to help facilitate successful learning in all of them. As a teacher, we want our students to grow and learn every day and the more that they learn, the more that they can create their own opinions and become their own person. The teacher is just the facilitator for student learning. We provide the tools that the students can use to gain more knowledge. We want them to have the curiosity and determination to find the answers. Also, students need to have a safe and engaging learning environment. This environment needs to be created by the teacher and the students together. Students need to understand that respect is required in the classroom between students and between the teacher and the student. Respect is so important for the students to feel encouraged to question and learn. "A teacher's purpose is not to create students in his own image, but to develop students who can create their own image." ~Author Unknown
