Hi, my name is Whitney Westerman.  I grew up in East Peoria, Illinois, with my parents and three older siblings, Jen, Ben, and Lindsay. I have two nieces, Kadie and Isabelle, and two nephews, Justin and Tyler, who I absolutely adore! We are a very tight-knit family that loves spending time together by cooking out, boating, and taking summer vacations.

I graduated from East Peoria Community High School in 2004, where I was involved in as many activities as possible! I then went on to Illinois Central College, where I began to pursue a degree in elementary education.  Knowing this was the right career choice for me, I continued my education at Illinois State University. 

I am currently finishing my student teaching experience in the Pekin Professional Development School through Illinois State University, where I will be graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education on May 10, 2008.  I am extremely excited to begin the next chapter of my life, and cannot wait to grow further in my career as a teacher.
