How do I integrate the whole class into projects when computer time is limited? |
Put them in groups. Schedule time at the computers for each group. Jobs: research (find information) author (organize information), publish (product). Could put two on each job. OR schedule the lab for a day for research and a day of publishing to get started and then continue in the classroom. |

What are ways to increase computer use in classroom activities at the junior high level? |
See the 7-8 resources page. Look at subject websites and webhunts and webquests. Also kids can put in the content for PowerPoint and other games. Let them journal in Word what the important content was for the day. |

How can I relate technology to PE? |
Create a PowerPoint game for rules/procedures. Have groups research how to increase their skills (throwing, kicking, etc.) Take digital pictures of procedures for an activity and put them into PowerPoint. Schedule the lab for PE webquests. |

How do we use the computer to type projects and create art work? |
Have a session in the lab for keyboarding practice and to learn Microsoft Word. For art work use the paint program included in the Office package or use clip art or images captured from the Internet. Purchase Story Book Weaver…great publishing program. |

How do I create my own icons in Kidspiration? |
Create a Kidspiration picture, leaving a space for the imported picture. Go to Google.com. Click on the “Images” link. Type in your keyword. Click on the image you want, then “See full-size image”. Right click and select “Copy image”. Go back to your Kidspiration page and select “Edit-Paste”. Now you can resize or move the image. |
