Dear Parents,

In our district handbook, there is a short article entitled Family Education.  Upon reading that article you will find that Illinois law requires that students receive instruction in the prevention, transmission and spread of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (A.I.D.S.)

In order to meet the requirements of our state law, we will be inviting a guest speaker to our school to address this issue. Our speaker is Teri Williams. She is sponsored by the Women’s Pregnancy Center. Her entire program is abstinence based.

We had the opportunity the last couple of years to hear her presentation. She has done an excellent job. We are privileged to have her return this year during the week of February 8th through the 14th.  She will be in attendance all day on those days. You are most welcome to attend any of her presentations. She will be speaking during your son or daughter’s physical education classes.

If you do not want your child to participate in this program, please call Counselor, Candi Hallam at 477-4732 or send this note back to school for her attention.
