September 11, 2002 At Dirksen Primary School

Students at Dirksen participated in variety of activities in honor of September 11th. Kindergartners listened to songs about America, learned the Pledge of Allegiance, and made flags. First graders learned and recited a poem about our country, made Uncle Sam hats, colored flags, and did word searches about America. Second graders learned about the Pledge of Allegiance and made posters. Third graders created patriotic scrapbooks and wrote about why they were proud to be Americans.
