Dirksen
was proud to be the 'Official Host' for Elmer Eagle on his first visit
to Illinois. Elmer spent 2 weeks at Dirksen teaching the students
about Bald Eagles. He brought along his scrapbook of his tour across
America. Before he left Dirksen students added information about Pekin
and photos of eagles nesting along the Illinois River to his scrapbook. |
