How Does Your Garden Grow?

After researching perennial plants in the Learning Center third graders in Mr. Trowbridge's room designed and planted a perennial garden.  With the help of Mrs. Abernathy, Mrs. Crawford, and Mrs. Schlappi they dug up the soil and removed all of the weeds before planting the following perennials:
  • 1 Miss Kim Lilac
  • 3 Annabelle Hydrangeas
  • 1 Pink Butterfly Bush
  • 1 Mixed Columbine
  • 1 Palace Purple Coralbell
  • 1 Cranesbill Geranium
  • 1 Orange Oriental Poppy
  • 1 Red Monarda
  • 1 Shasta Daisy
  • 1 Black-Eyed Susan
  • 1 Purple Coneflower
  • 1 Dwarf Galliardia
  • 3 Pink Phlox
  • 8 Yellow Daylillies
They also planted some annuals - 6 Grape Cooler Vincas.  Fabric was put down and then a layer of mulch.  It was hard work, but as you can see in the pictures below, it was also alot of fun!
