Students will be divided into groups with 4 or 5 people in each group. Each group will have a group leader and will be assigned an area of interest (international, local, etc.). Then each group will research a topic that they find interesting. After finding lots of information of that topic of interest, they will respond to the topic in their own words using a particular style of writing. Then they will type their article on an IBM computer, proof-read it, make corrections, and then submit it for a grade. All of the articles will be published on our Edison web-site. Students will receive two grades for this project, one in Language and one in Social Studies.
