More Computers?
By: Amanda Lange, Aimee St. Andre,
Ryan Nelson, and Cody Russell
We, a group of seventh graders, gave a survey to 74 students and one teacher at Edison Jr. High School. The survey consisted of three questions.
The questions were:
1. Do you feel you have enough academic time in the computer lab?
2. How many computers do you feel each classroom should have?
3. Do you feel a new computer lab would be more appropriate?
The results of our survey were:
29 people said they have enough academic time in the computer lab. 46 people felt they don’t have enough time on the computers. One person said they wanted one computer in each classroom, 23 people wanted five, and 20 people wanted ten computers per classroom. 31 people wanted one computer per classroom. 46 people said they wanted a new computer lab and 29 people said they didn’t.

Aimee St. Andre: I feel that I don’t have enough academic time in the computer lab because I don’t now how to use them that well. I think we should have one computer per person so there would be enough for everyone. I think our school should make more computer labs in the classrooms we don’t use.
Cody Russell: No, I don’t feel like I have enough time on the computers. I think we should have ten computers per classroom. I think a new computer lab would be more appropriate.
Amanda Lange: Personally, I don’t think I have enough time on the computers here at school. I think each classroom should have ten computers. I don’t think a new computer lab would be appropriate but the school could update the older computers so they have the same programs as the newer ones. It would be mighty expensive to get a whole new computer lab.
Ryan Nelson: No, I don’t think I have enough time in the computer lab. I feel that we should be in the computer lab more often. I think that there shoud be more computers in each class. I think there should be at least five computers in each classroom. I do not think there should be another computer lab in the school.  First there is not enough room in the school; second we all ready have two computer labs.
