The Show Place 12 Kerasotes Theater

Bad Day at the Movies
By Ben Gould

One afternoon I called my friend Ben to see if he wanted to go to the Kerasotes Movie Theater. "Well," he replied and said yes," only if we see Any Given Sunday, and I said ok. I told him I’d be there in 15 minutes to pick him up. Then I picked him up and we went to the movies. We got there and all the tickets for Any Given Sunday were already sold out.  Instead, we get tickets for The Green Mile. First I went to the concession stand to get a large tub of oily popcorn, and a lady behind hits me. I got hot oil all down my shirt.
I had to go to the bathroom to get the oil washed off. When I got out of the bathroom I quickly ran to the theater. When I got inside ,the movie had already started
and there were only two sits left and they were far away from each other. I finally sat down in the stadium seating with seats with plush backing to watch the movie. Then this guy got so emotional that he threw his drink and it hit me in the head. I reported him to the manager. The manager said that they would throw him out.
When the drink thrower heard that he would have to leave he got mad and said he was going to stay right there and
watch the rest of the movie. The manager then had to get security to pick him up and move him. The man broke loose and charged straight at me. He came over, picked me up, and threw me straight into popcorn machine. I was knocked out cold. Then I suddenly woke up.  I was in the hospital with a concussion. I told myself I was never going to the movie theaters again for as long as I live.

Kerasotes Theater Poem

The Kerasotes Theater just came to town.
The race was on to beat the crowd.
With 38,000 square feet and stadium seating,
The 12 curved screens were packed with people eating.

Gus Kerasotes founded the company in 1909.
Expansion started when his sons joined their father.
In 1967 the company added its 50th theater.
The 3rd generation of Kerasotes made the company go even farther.

The Show Place 12 has 16 concession stations.
The have soda and popcorn and all the rest.
The concession stands have free refills on soda and popcorn.
The refreshments at the theater are the best.

 A Night at the Movies
       By Kaley Lyon
A girl named Kaley was very bored.  It was the first Friday night she didn’t have anything to do.  So she called her friends Ben and Courtney to see if they wanted to go to the new Kerasotes Movie Theater.  They decided to go see Any Given Sunday at 8:20 P.M.  After she found out that they were going to the movies, her Friday night wasn’t so bad.
Any Given Sunday was a 3-hour movie.  It got over at 11:20 P.M.  After the movie got over Courtney stayed the night with Kaley.  Courtney and Kaley told Kaleys parents all about the new movie theater.  They told them all about the concession stands that had free refills, the stadium seating, and the plush seats.  The next night Kaley’s parents went to the new movie theater.
