Exciting Adventures at Joshua Tree
Brian and Zach were going to be going on a daring adventure 140 miles east of Los Angeles on Interstate 10 in California. They were willing and daring to take the challenge of rock climbing. They were going to Joshua Tree National Monument. Joshua Tree is the most popular spot in the United States for rock climbing. It was early one fall morning around 6:00 A.M Brian and Zach were packing. They got all their equipment and they were ready for rock climbing. They were on their way to Joshua Tree. They reached their destination around 9:00 A.M that morning. They set up their campsite and while setting it up, they overheard people talking about snakes and spiders. They didn’t like that idea too much because they were absolutely disgusted by snakes and spiders. They were a little frightened but the suspense of rock climbing kept them there. After lunch they got all of their equipment on and ready. Brian was being stubborn and wouldn’t ask for help. They set out shaking and a little scared, but they kept going. They first started out on an easy route but then they advanced to a more challenging one. They were nervous, but they were doing well so far. Then all of a sudden Brian went to put his hand on a ledge and felt something scaly and rough. The thing bit him and he fell since his equipment wasn’t on right. Then something caught him, maybe a rock, but that stopped him and he regained his balance. He couldn’t move one of his legs and its hand was swollen and losing his feeling. Zach didn’t know what was going on because it happened so fast. Then he realized what was going on, and he went down for help. After he came back with help, they found Brian hanging on for dear life. They rushed him to the hospital and he lost feeling in his hand. They found out a poisonous snake had bitten him, and he, Zach, and the paramedics got him to the hospital with out much damage exept shattered knee! Source: U.K
