The Past Present and Future
of Miss Thompson

We decided to do an interview of
our new assistant principal, Miss Thompson. We did this interview on Miss
Thompson because we wanted to know what she felt about our school and her
job. Her responses were:
Q: Who was your inspiration while
growing up?
A: My 8th grade teacher, Mrs.
Eike, and my parents.
Q: What made you choose Edison?
A: I researched all over
the state and Edison seemed like a good school to work at.
Q: What made you want to be a vice
principal?
A: I like to have an important
impact on the whole school and I like teaching.
Q: What was your first thought when
you came to Edison.
A: I was dressed nice and I
had high heels on and I forgot the height of Mr. Fitzanko and I was very
embarrassed, but also I was very excited.

Q: Where did you go to college
to train as a vice-principal.
A: I went to the University
of Illinois and I received my master’s degree at Illinois State.
Q: Where were some other schools
you worked at?
A: I worked at a parochial school.
I graduated in January. I was also a PE teacher for a while. Also I taught
for half of a year and worked at Wallace Grade School.
Q: When did you become a principal?
A: I became a principal this
last year. |
Q: When specifically did you choose
your career?
A: I chose this career when
I was in grade school.
Q: Why did you choose this career?
A: I like to work with many
different kinds of people. I also like to work with kids.
Q: Why did you apply at Edison?
A: The district had a lot to
offer. This school also had more opportunities that would make me a better
person.
Q: How did you feel about getting
your first job?
A: I was very excited when I
received the e-mail.
Q: How did you feel after the first
day?
A: I was very exhausted.
Q: How do you feel now about the
facilities?
A: Everyone at Edison is hard
working and the children are well-behaved students.
Q: Now that you know the school
a little better what would you change?
A: Provide more opportunities
to get to know people more.
Q: What kind of career did you want
when you were a kid?
A: I wanted to be a teacher.
Q: Where did you go to apply to
this job?
A: I looked online and applied
and then I received e-mail about the job.
Q: Where did you grow up?
A: I grew up on a farm in Illinois.
Q: Who made you what you are today?
A: My parents
Q: When did you start having interests
in this career?
A: I started having interests
in this career three years ago.
Q: What job would you have if you
could have any job in the world?
A: I would be a gym fitness
trainer.
