Fund
Raising Activities
Since we need about 4 or 5 thousand dollars to
go on the trip we needed to think out some fund raising activities.
Right now we have about 2,500 dollars, so we still have a ways to go.
Soon we will have a rummage sale in the red gym of our school, Edison Junior
High. Hopefully the sale will bring in 1/4 of the total cost needed.
Another activity in the making is selling hamburgers and fries at the local
Burger King here in Pekin. Maybe that will bring in the rest of the
money needed. The only thing the families have to pay for is the
students food, souveniers and other fun activities in Florida. We
are hoping to go to a fun place like the beach, Disney World, or Universal
Studios or something like that. We still need alot of funds, and
if you live neer Pekin, Illinois listen to WMBD radio for more information
about our garage sale. Or watch WEEK, which might even be live at
Edison.
