The District is focused on influencing and improving funding decisions in the Illinois General Assembly and U.S. Congress. This includes fully funding mandated programs, the state foundation level, alternatives to property tax as a funding source, and elementary district funding. The District continues membership and active supportive in the Elementary District Organization and the Alliance legislation activities. The District also continues to monitor and influence the work of the Education Funding Advisory Board (EFAB) and the IEA/NEA lobbyist working at both the state and national levels.
