The school district enjoys the extended benefits of its PDS partnership with Illinois State University. Milner Library from ISU has come to Pekin to host a two hour graduate class in the PDS room. The course, Teaching with Primary Sources, is teaching participants how to access and utilize the various digital primary resources from the Library of Congress. The twenty seven teachers involved in this course are downloading maps, documents, photos and audio clips and creating standards-based lessons.
