The purpose of the District Instructional Leadership
Team is to: study district issues, provide assistance,
make recommendations, enhance communication. The team
is made up of representatives from the staff, administration,
parents, and community.
Improvement
Plans
Each school has and continues to update an individual
improvement plan, as well as a plan for the district
as a whole. The plans consist of 7 parts: Vision, Values,
Collaborative Culture, Mission, Goals, Action Plans,
and Results. Together, all 7 parts can help a school
develop a comprehensive improvement plan.
Plan
Do Study Act: Plans for Continuous Improvement
The Plan, Do, Study, Act (PDSA) cycle is the process
that Pekin School District 108 uses to improve the quality
of teaching and learning. The PDSA integrates both theory
and practice to systematically create a more effective,
data driven approach to show and sustain continuous
improvement. Each school is currently working on a plan
to publish to this website.
Quality
Assurance
Quality Assurance is a process by which schools in Illinois
present evidence to assure that their processes and
results meet state standards. It is a goal of the district
to have each school's processes and results presented
in an electronic portfolio for all stakeholders to view.
This site will be continuously improved and updated
as new evidence is obtained.
Quality
Tools
Quality Tools are thinking tools. These tools have been
developed to measure the thinking power of individuals
and groups of people working in our schools. They are
used by students and teachers as they search for ways
to be more effective at what they do, and are used as
a way to organize thinking and make data more visible.
