Data Collection for B

For the 2001-2002 school year, Dirksen Primary School faculty and staff identified language arts (reading and writing) as an area of focus. All grade levels have developed a grade level writing process (view K - 1 - 2 - 3) and continue to monitor this process. Teachers follow the district writing rubric (view K - 1 - 2 - 3) as a means to measure student writing performance through writing samples. Third grade has been identified as the benchmark grade to measure writing success. The third grade teachers, special education resource teacher, and Connections teacher meet to evaluate the student performance during language arts block. (Writing Summary Sheet)
