Provide Feedback

Provide continuous feedback to students and employees in an effort to assist them in directing their own learning and using their results to continuously improve. Present findings and future recommendations for continued improvement to the Board of Education by June, 2003.

Fullan Report
Study the Michael Fullan Critical Friends’ Report and develop a Plan-Do-Study-Act to further the missions of the district and Illinois State University to be implemented over the course of the next three years. Present findings and recommendations by March, 2003.

Essential Skills Strategy
  • Increase the percentage of students meeting or exceeding state standards in Reading, Mathematics and Writing.
  • Increase the percentage of employees meeting or exceeding expectations in the five core performance areas.
  • Increase quality teaching and learning by providing continuous feedback to employees and students.
  • Measure student’s participation in directing their own learning and use results to improve teaching and learning.
  • Align district standards, assessment and instruction of Science and Social Studies with state standards.
  • Measure effectiveness of staff development in furthering the district’s mission, and use the results to plan for improvement.
  • Address findings of the Michael Fullan Critical Friends visit to further the missions of the district and Illinois State University.
  • Monitor enrollment and achieve the lowest class size possible.
  • Improve student attendance.
