The Standardize, Do, Study, Act (SDSA) cycle is the process that Pekin School District 108 uses to improve the quality of teaching and learning. The SDSA integrates both theory and practice to systematically create a more effective, data driven approach to show and sustain continuous improvement.

THE SDSA Process:

The system (issue or activity) is defined.
A way to document the current work is agreed upon.
The data is then analyzed to learn about the performance of the system.

Carry out the work in a consistent way.

Have knowledge of the system performance.

Keep the system stable and consistent. Create a plan for incremental and breakthrough improvement. Improvements are standardized and recommendation for continuous improvement are made.
