Improvement Goal 1

Improvement Focus/Goal Statement To improve student achievement in reading comprehension at all grade levels.

Rationale of Need Student achievement in the area of reading comprehension on CARS and SAI needs to improve. We wish to standardize a method in order to ensure grade level alignment and focus on reading comprehension skills. As well, staff identifies reading comprehension as a core foundational element in the literacy process.

Alignment to District Goals Our goal of increasing reading comprehension at all grade levels supports the district goal of improving student achievement. Goal #1
