The Miss Lydic's Kinderkids ate dirt and sand for snack! Their dirt and sand was served in plastic sand buckets. The sand was made from vanilla pudding and crunched up vanilla wafers. The dirt was made from chocolate pudding and crunched up chocolate graham crackers. The dirt also had some (gummy) worms hidden in the bucket! We stuck the shovels in the tops of both buckets. As an April fools day joke, we put them out on the tables and announced that the kids could have sand and dirt for snack! Several girls were close to tears, but some of the boys were ready to take up the offer! Then we talked about what was actually in the buckets. We let everyone serve themselves with the shovels. They thought it was a great joke!
