There have been so many current events topics that Miss Lydic's Kinderkids have been talking about, that she decided to let them look for these things in the newspaper. The kids were amazed to find pictures that were taken in South Pekin after the tornado. The class found a picture of Gov. Rod Blagojevich taken in South Pekin. The students also found a picture of Mr. Don Baxter, a detective at the Pekin Police Department. He just gave the class a tour of the Pekin Police Department on Monday! He is now a Kindergarten celebrity! Many students were amazed to see that they could read many words that were found in the newspaper.
