Learning Center teacher, Mrs. Sheila Watson, is busy selecting new books to be purchased for the Learning Center library this spring. Mrs. Watson recently received grant money from the Regional Office of Education and Walmart. The books purchased will have accompanying quizzes for the Accelerated Reader program, which improves reading comprehension and fluency. The Jefferson PTA has also donated funds this year for purchasing materials for the library. These funds will be used to replace the annual allotment of Title VI federal grant money which was used in for book and equipment purchases for Learning Centers previous to this year.
