Mrs. Brecher's second grade class celebrated Dr. Seuss's 100th birthday with a full day of reading activities. Students came "armed" with pillows, sleeping bags, "comfy" clothing and a collection of reading materials. They alternated between quiet, individual reading times, and sharing a special story or poem selection with their classmates.
The pictures above show students during their quiet reading times. These three pictures show combining a good story with a matching hat, a Spider Man book with Spider Man shorts and someone all packed up and ready to go home and read more Dr. Seuss books.
