Our
January 1/2 Day of school improvement planning was spent analyzing the data
collected from writing samples at each grade level. Each grade level examined
writing scores based on a four-feature
rubric. The scores were collected in November, December and January.
Each grade level then looked at essential questions that were raised by
the data and looked for root causes and root effects using a relations diagram.
From the root causes and effects each grade level developed an improvement
theory which they will implement over the next several weeks while we study
the results of their efforts.
