Our writing PDSA is a continuation of improvement initiatives from last year. This summer we analyzed the rubrics we were using and made revisions and additons to the teacher version. We also discovered last year that scoring was inconsistent among the 4 teachers at each grade level.

This year we meet monthly to co-score 5 samples from each classroom. We have done this scoring on School Improvement days whenever possible. The consistency among scorers has improved and the dialog among teachers has been beneficial.

Scores are sent in monthly and we continue to count the number of students who do not meet expectations. Our scores in writing continue to improve over time.
