RE: Meeting Summary
Leadership Team met on Tuesday, November 25. Shelly, Stephanie, and Debra
were unable to attend due to illness, or other commitments. Below is a
summary of our activities.
- We analyzed
the data from the staff survey.
- There were 11 surveys that had all positive responses.
- There were 4 surveys that had all negative responses.
- There were 2 surveys that had no pattern to the responses.
- There were 9 surveys that had negative responses in the open / honest
category and corresponding negative responses in the communication and
process areas.
- From the analysis we generated a list of concepts that should be a
part of any shared decision making process.
- Jeff will develop a flow chart for us to consider at our next meeting.
- Jeff shared with the team the process for Title 1 school-wide planning.
- Any school with a free / reduced lunch population of 40% or more may
plan for a School-wide Title 1 program.
- A team has been selected (Brenda Grafelman, Debi Grossweiler, Marian
Gray, Pam Wallinger, Teri Hagen and Shelly Cordts)
- That team will have an organizational meeting in December and will
schedule subsequent meetings and assign tasks to be completed during
the winter and spring.
- Staff input and feedback will be sought throughout the planning process.
- The plan will come to the Leadership Team for approval in the spring.
- Once approved the plan will be submitted to the district and state.
- Based on information we currently have from Cindy Worner, it is unlikely
that the plan will involve significant change for any of us. It will,
however, formalize the collection and use of formative assessment data.
- Personnel decisions will be addressed late in the spring when budget
figures are known.
- We scheduled our next meeting for Tuesday, January 20 at 4:30 in the
PDSA room.
