Jefferson School receives the services of one part time counselor. Additionally, special education students can receive counseling services from the school social worker and or psychologist if it is identified in the child’s IEP. Services of the school counselor can be secured by completing a referral form (available in the office). The school’s counseling service can be of assistance to teachers, student and parents for a variety of needs. The school counselor is scheduled to be at Jefferson two days each week. Should a student need counseling services, please complete a referral; contact the counselor or your principal.

Should an emergency arise and the need for counseling services become immediate, the counselor can be called to the building at other than regularly scheduled times. Please see the principal if there is an immediate need for counseling services.
