PDSA/SIP Planning for Continuous Improvement Background Information School/Program Improvement Issue: Reduce the gap in reading achievement specifically in the area of reading comprehension. Area of Opportunity (brief narrative summary of why the team/school chose this issue): We have struggled with comprehension instruction at 2/3 for years. CARS has been used in all 2/3 classrooms last year. Students who were placed below grade level remained there all year. Title & IEP and ISAT do not meet AYP targets. Reason for Selection (list of both formal and informal data sources): NCLB AYP targets are not being met by Title 1 and IEP students.
