What recommendations
do you have to improve the conditions of teaching in your classroom or
school?
- reduce classroom
size, increase support staff
- keep the ISU intern
prgram
- Continued collaboration
among teachers
- More opportunities
for building staff development.
- more time for collaboration
- More storage shelves.
- equal opportunity
for everyone.
- I feel I will need
more support( information etc.) as we are expected to meet the federal
mandates in the No Child Left Behind legislation.
- more help for special
ed students
- More support for
special education students in the classroom -in order to give them the
minutes required in ALL qualified subject areas for at least the minimum
amount of time. Too many kids share too little time.
- Continue to support
classroom teachers and students with the PDSA improvement process.
What recommendations
do you have to improve the conditions of teaching in the district?
- more incentives
(money) for professional development opportunities and staff obligations
- continue supporting
teachers
- Grade level meetings
bring us together, however the topics haven't always been productive
- Keep primary counselors.
- Keep a connections
program for pprimary students.
- Provide more professional
development opportunities for tenured, veteran staff.
- more consistent
reading instruction acrossed schools
- More communications
among buildings as to procedures and ways of teaching.
- More opportunity
for staff development and better reimbursements for college classes.
- I think as we enter
this time of increased federal mandates we need to give each other increased
moral support. From what I know about this it won't be an easy task
and we need to let staff know that this is looked at as a team effort.
- Consider accepting
Masters Course work in place of the current PDS core courses from ALL
universities
- Consider accepting
MAster's Degree coursework from all universities in place of inconvienient
and redundant PDS courses.
- Continue to provide
high quality professional development.
- Continue to provide
buildings the opportunity to identify needs and address them.
