School Safety

We are committed to making Jefferson School a safe environment for

students, staff and families. In order to accomplish this we have

instituted a number of practices to ensure safety. These include:

• Locking all doors except the front entrance during the school

day.

• Requiring all visitors to wear an identification badge.

• Dismissing all students to the playground at the end of the day.

• Requiring all students to go home their usual way unless they

have a note.

You can help by:

• Having a regular routine for your child at the end of the school day.

• Meeting your child at a designated area of the playground.

• Sending a note to your child's teacher if dismissal procedures will be different than usual

• Obeying no parking zones and school speed limits around the school.

Together we can make our school a safe environment for everyone.
