School Safety
We are committed to making Jefferson School a safe environment for
students, staff and families. In order to accomplish this we have
instituted a number of practices to ensure safety. These include:
- Locking all doors except the front entrance during the school
day.
- Requiring all visitors to wear an identification badge.
- Dismissing all students to the playground at the end of the day.
- Requiring all students to go home their usual way unless they
have a note.
You can help by:
- Having a regular routine for your child at the end of the school day.
- Meeting your child at a designated area of the playground.
- Sending a note to your child's teacher if dismissal procedures will be different than usual
- Obeying no parking zones and school speed limits around the school.
Together we can make our school a safe environment for everyone.
