Summary of ideas generated in response to the critical question:
What additional information do youb need to begin our work?
|
Establish class parameters? Timelines: who, how? Trainers - where will they come from? Where are labs actually available/accessible? Who needs training - prioritize? Have any businesses specifically asked about training by 108? Will buildings & classrooms be secure during training sessions? What classes/skills are the "public" interested in? How can we open up labs for practice for those who don’t have a computer at home? How can we find out what the community wants training in? Survery? Do we have "clout" or do we just recommend? How do we best meet needs of those without access to hardware? Business partners - funding, need based tuition? How is one "qualified" to be a trainer? (I know what my strengths are; how do communicate that to someone?) Capabilities of the Internet? Probable prospects for trainers. Potential business trainers capabilities. Potential of intra-city communication network? What are other communities doing to provide network training? Should we focus on free & inexpensive or tuition-based classes? |
