Technology Skills &Training Task Force

Summary of Mar. 25, 1997 meeting and future information

This was the first meeting combining the two separate committees into one.

• We reintroduced ourselves and confirmed the roster of names, agencies, addresses, phone, and e-mail.

• We established future meeting dates and times:

Tuesdays, May 20, June 17 at 7:00 pm in the Dist. 108 board room.

• We planned two site visits:

April 11- Anderson, IN, 8 persons

Community Tech. Training Center, Net Education Day, student vocational program, online support, ACT-NOW project

April 25- Indianapolis Public School Dist, 12 persons

Internet training package, interactive television & distance learning, Collaboration 2000 project

• We brainstormed appropriate questions to ask our hosts related to community networks and training for community members.

• Each group will give reports to the task force at the May meeting. This will conclude our information gathering. We will then start making implementation plans and recommendations.
