Staff uses the following formative and summative measurements to assess student achievement: SAI (2 formative and 1 summative), title I teachers pre/post reading inventories and surveys, gifted teacher pre/post test and reading inventory, portfolios, checklists and "I Can Do Its."

Two forms of summative assessment include ITBS (second grade) and ISAT (third grade).

Staff uses the formative assessments and pretests to guide their instruction. Summative and posttests are used to assess achievement of grade level objectives.
