The original Jefferson School was opened in 1906. It was replaced by a new facility in 1976. During the summer of 2008 the school was renovated by replacing windows, classroom doors, classroom partitions, carpet and painting. The technology deployment in 2009 equipped each classroom with smart board technology as well as new student workstations.
The primary school houses approximately 350 students with four classrooms each of kindergarten, first, second, and third grades. The students are served by physical education and music specialists, as well as a learning center instructional assistant. Title I and Reading Recovery services are offered, in addition to special education resource. |
