Honesty begins with self awareness.  We recognize our strengths and what we need to be working toward.  We communicate with each other telling the truth about ourselves and others.

Attitude is what we bring with us to school.  Our attitude can help solve problems or make problems worse.  If we come with an attitude that allows us to be cheerful, helping, energetic and caring, then our day will be good.

Welcoming others to our school helps them to feel a sense of belonging.  We welcome our peers and visitors with helpful words, and deeds.  We help all people feel welcome at Jefferson by including everyone in our caring community.

Kindness is what we show to others and ourselves.  We treat others with kindness by understanding their feelings and needs.  We treat people with kindness because when we do, we are treated with kindness.

Safety is the responsibility of everyone in the school and in all parts of the school.  We want our school to be a safe place for everyone to learn and work together.  A feeling of safety allows us to become better members of our school community.
