Welcome to Washington Intermediate School. As the new principal of Washington Intermediate School, I want to share with each of you how lucky and proud I feel to be the principal of this historical Pekin landmark and even more importantly, as the leader of this amazing school. My own two sons have received a first-class education at Washington School.

This year’s learning theme is “Learn Strong, Live Strong” which builds from two powerful slogans. First, “Army Strong” which visually emphasizes the power of teamwork focused upon setting and achieving challenging but rewarding goals. The second, “LiveStrong”, which highlights the powerful daily choices that each of us make for ourselves, that directly impact each other. Washington’s webpage highlights important information that will support a successful learning year. Each of us plays a key responsibility in the ultimate success of our students learning improvement.
