S.I.L.T. is a site-based decision making group. Site-based decision making is a process in which a variety of school and community members collaborate in identifying problems, defining goals, formulating policy, shaping direction, and ensuring implementation. Those individuals who are responsible for the implementation of a decision at the building level are actively involved. Site-based decision making should be seen as a means to improve the instructional program and enhance student achievement.
