Copy Machine Update
Dr. Worner addressed the issue of the copying machine and quoted the sales rep as having said, "Too many people are operating it." Most felt they would like to continue having an unlimited access as opposed to limiting the number of copies per month. A discussion was held regarding options for resolving this issue. Suggestions made consisted of hiring a parent volunteer to run copies or offering the job to one of the assistants to run copies before and/or after school. The committee would like staff imput. Please offer your suggestions.
Furniture Order
Anyone needing classroom furniture for next year should have requests to Dr. Worner on or before April 10th.
TV Turn-Off Week
Mr. Stickling requests teachers talk to students about TV turn-off week. He wants to know if we would like to invite the magician, Gordon Snow to come to school and asks if you know of a parent that would be a grade level representative.
Next Year’s Schedule
Dr. Worner asked that we be thinking about next year’s schedule and for a volunteer to work with Mrs. Cooper. Parents want an earlier lunchtime. P.E./Music specialist’s schedules involve working with Sunset. Dr. Worner will contact Mr. Muren to ask about flip-flopping times. Please let Dr. Worner know if you have a burning desire to serve on this team.
Quality Assurance Results
Dr. Worner explained the Quality Assurance visits and asked that we look at the results, which are posted in the Learning Center, before the March 27th staff meeting. This information includes overall strengths and needs for improvement. She’ll give an explanation of the visits and answer questions at the staff meeting. This process will be repeated in two years. As we’re beginning to set goals for our school improvement plan, she suggested we look at the Quality Assurance Parent Data on District 108’s website. P.E./Music specialist’s grades were discussed and it became evident that parents would like an earlier lunchtime.
