Leadership Goal Action Plan 2000-01

GOAL:

Participate in the district action research project with a team from Starke School to:

 1. Document school improvement activities in a school portfolio

2. Become familiar with the Baldrige seven criteria for self assessment

3. Practice, model and share use of quality tools to publicly show results

4. Prepare for quality assurance visit.

RELATIONSHIP TO DISTRICT/ SCHOOL GOAL:

This goal supports District Goal One: We will increase student performance through the school improvement process.

By leaning about and using Quality Tools , the PDSA Process, and the Baldrige Quality Criteria our staff will become more effective at self-assessing our school improvement progress and more effective at using facts to guide improvement efforts.

Team participation in Quality Tools Training

 

Team members will be provided with information and strategies related to each tool during five training sessions and assemble a binder to use as a resource for application

  • Collect information related to each tool strategy and application

Apply Quality Tools at the classroom level

 

Team members will collect evidence that supports the classroom application quality tools

On a regular basis-

Apply Quality Tools in the SIP process

The SIP Team will collect evidence that supports the application of Quality Tools throughout the SIP process

Monthly-

Principal, Q.T. Team members, SIP Team members, SILT members

  • Discussion and modeling of Quality Tools applications for teachers on SILT and SIP Team
  • Quality Tools will be used as a means to collect data, plan for improvement , assess progress, and implement change

Use each of the seven Baldrige components as a framework for gathering and organizing current evidence of school improvement

 

 

The SIP Team will collaboratively develop a school portfolio that provides evidence of SIP within the context of the Baldrige quality components as criteria for measuring progress

Monthly-
