PTA Minutes 3/8/04

The marquee is up! It will be lighted this week. A special thank you to Sandy Morrow for taking care of the details!

Teacher appreciation signs are in the works and will be here soon.

Bergners Community day was a success. The PTA made about $170.00. There is another one in the fall that we are considering participating in. Thanks to those that helped and/or purchased coupon booklets! Next year we hope to have a few more volunteers to be at Bergners on that day.

Fundraiser - Katherine Beich was a success so we decided to use them for the fundraiser for 2004/2005. We are trying to get an earlier kick off day so that we will be one of the first schools in the area to offer these products next school year.

Spirit Wear - We are considering offering a more extensive selection of spirit wear next year.

There are school budget meetings scheduled for March 9th @ 6:30pm at Broadmoor and March 10th @ 6:30 at Edison. They are open to the public and you are encouraged to attend if you would like to listen or to give your thoughts on the proposed budget cuts. The vote is scheduled for Monday, March 15^th @ 6:30 at Washington School.

Family reading night has been rescheduled for April 1st 6-7:30pm. This year's committee is making some exciting plans! We are looking forward to a fun evening for Starke students and their families.
