Budget Issues Budget District #108 allows $64 per student per year in allocation.  This year Starke was allocated $18,084.00. SILT discussed how this $18,084 is distributed SILT
Special Events Study Project Committee will be formed to develop a special events study project Committee will consist of 2 parents, 3 teachers, principal, secretary, music teacher. This committee will discuss possible changes/updates, regarding Christmas events, holidays, etc.  The Starke PTA will also be involved as they are in charge of many of these events. Inclusion Study Group Study project to look at criteria for working with resource students in an inclusion setting. Our goal is to try to develop a consistent and exemplary program to meet the needs of these students while gauging our progress.  This group meets on Jan. 19. Team members are Brandi Messman, Heather Sciortini, Megan Wood, Steve Grys. This committee will be together for 2 years. Inclusion Study Group

Quality Kid Program This program is encouraged by #108 with the hope of trying to meet state accountability goals. Starke needs a teacher to lead the Starke group in working on goals for this program.  Mar. 31-April 3 there is a conference in North Caroline to provide training for the leader of this program.  There may be some Goals 2000 money available to assist in paying for someone to attend this conference.
