| Software Match Program |
Staff needs to preview
software they maybe interested in purchasing. |
District
108 has a program where the district will match funds up to $2200 for new
software. Teachers/Staff are asked to preview some software and use
the rubric probiced by the Tech Center to evaluate the software.
The district has set criteriaq giving points for the software. Selected
softwware should rate from 82-100, however, this is a very difficult range
within to meet criteria, so we would like to push ahead recommended software
by staff members. PTA is willing to kick in $1700 for Starke's portion
the $2200. The Team was agreeable to that suggestion. Deadline in
April 1, 2001. |

Information regarding
the Koalaty Kid Program |
Three teachers from
Starke (Brandi, Megan, Vicki) will participate in training and will attend
an upcoming conference regarding the Koalaty Kids Program. The goal
of this program, with seven basic principles, is provide a framework for
school improvement efforts at the building and classroom level. We
currently are collecting information to see how we measure up to the seven
sections of quality criteria. You can access the website for Koalaty
Kids at ASQ.com or you can link to this site through Bill's Quality Portfolio

| Discussion Items |
Questions and ideas |
Incentives for good
behavior in the lunchroom were discussed. Jeanne Smith suggested
perhaps a shorter period of time and healthier incentives be offered for
younger students (Kindergarten & 1st grades) who struggle with the
4 week period of time we use to gauge behavior. |
